Glass-lined Reactor Safe Operating Conditions

Mar 18, 2022

Glass-lined reactors have excellent acid and corrosion resistance and are used as reactors or storage tanks in the chemical industry. Due to the particularity of the working environment, it is necessary to pay attention not to exceed the rated value during use, that is to say, the following safe operating conditions must be met when using:

1. Maximum allowable operating pressure: 6kg/cm2 in the tank jacket, 2.5kg/cm2 in the tank, or use according to the equipment nameplate.

2. Check the pipes and valves related to the glass-lined reactor, and only start feeding when the conditions for receiving the materials are ensured.

3. Check whether the stirring motor, reducer, machine seal, etc. are normal, whether the oil level of the reducer is appropriate, and whether the cooling water supply of the machine seal is normal.

4. Start the stirring under the condition that there is no abnormality, and put in the material according to the specified amount.

5. It is strictly forbidden for the reaction kettle above 10m3 or the reaction kettle with bottom bearing to be stirred, and the stirring can be started only when the bottom bearing is immersed in the liquid surface.

6. Strictly implement the process operation rules, pay close attention to the temperature and pressure in the reactor and the jacket pressure of the reactor, and strictly prohibit excessive temperature and pressure.

7. During the reaction process, a patrol inspection should be done, and problems should be dealt with in a timely manner.

8. If over temperature occurs, immediately cool down with water. The temperature after cooling should meet the process requirements.

9. If overpressure occurs, open the empty valve immediately. Emergency pressure relief.
